Abstract:

To disclose a new p-phenylenediamine derivative capable of remarkably improving a light emission lifetime of an organic EL element, when used as a component of the element.

This p-phenylenediamine derivative is expressed by formula (II) (R1 to R9 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxy or phenyl and are identical to or different from one another, provided that pairs of R1 and R2, R2 and R4, R3 and R4, R5 and R6, R6 and R8, R7 and R8, R2 and R9, R4 and R9, R6 and R9, and R8 and R9 are each allowed to combine with each other in the pair).
