PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel p-type oxide and the like which can obtain excellent characteristics, that is, sufficient conductivity; which can be manufactured under a practical condition at a relatively low temperature; and which has characteristics capable of controlling conductivity by adjustment of a composition ratio.SOLUTION: A p-type oxide is composed of an amorphous oxide represented as a composition formula xAO*yCuO (x and y represent mole fractions, and 0≤x<100 and x+y=100), and the A contains at least any one selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba.SELECTED DRAWING: None
