Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PM accumulation detection device which can accurately detect the accumulation of PMs while being excellent in terms of a cost and a size compared with a constitution which uses a pressure loss at the detection of the accumulation of the PMs at a plasma reactor.SOLUTION: When a voltage is applied between electrodes of a plasma reactor 1, electrical discharge is generated between the electrodes, and a plasma is generated by the electrical discharge. PMs contained in an exhaust gas of an engine are oxidized and removed by an oxidation action of the plasma. A current flowing in the electrodes is changed depending on a state of the electrical discharge between the electrodes. When a minimum value of the current flowing in the electrodes at the electrical discharge of the plasma reactor 1 is not smaller than a prescribed threshold, a PM accumulation determination part 45 determines that the PMs are accumulated on a surface of an electrode panel of the plasma reactor 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
