Abstract:
PURPOSE:To rapidly decompose and make harmless dioxin in incineration ash or fly ash and an organic chlorinated preservative in rotten lumber at a comparatively low temperature by mixing urea in an organic chlorinated compound- containing substance to be treated before thermally decomposing the organic chlorinated compound. CONSTITUTION:Urea is mixed in an organic chlorinated compound containing substance to be treated and then the organic chlorinated compound is thermally decomposed. Thereby dioxin in incineration ash or fly ash and an organic chlorinated preservative in rotten lumber are rapidly decomposed and made harmless at a comparatively low temperature. And organic chlorinated preservative- containing abandoned lumber and dioxin-containing incineration ash or fly as are made harmless and avail able for landfill treatment or reuse.
