Abstract:
PURPOSE:To exactly and easily execute the black balance control of color image signals with simple configuration by executing the black balance control of the color image signals while using digital color image signals offsetting the blanking period. CONSTITUTION:Analog RGB signals are converted to digital data synchronously with clock pulses by an A/D converter 2 and afterwards inputted to a digital signal processing circuit 6. At the digital signal processing circuit 6, the blanking period of this digital color image signal is offset to a first offset level and while using the digital color image signal offsetting the blanking period, the black balance control of the color image signals is executed. Then, the blanking period of digital luminance signals formed from the digital color image signals controlling the black balance and offsetting the blanking period is offset to a second offset level.
