Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selective call radio receiver where maintenance of reception sensitivity and extension of the battery service life are compatible with each other. SOLUTION: In the case that received data are re-transmitted data, a diversity synthesis section 32 extracts data from a diversity buffer 33 matching a position of data received at present, selects data with less error and outputs the selected data to a decode section 34 and an address detection section 35. The decode section 34 analyzes the data according to a signal format for decoding and contents of the received data. The address detection section 35 detects an address in response to the control by the decode section 34. An intermittent reception control section 36 discriminates the reception state of the data based on the result of analysis by the decode section 34 and the result of discrimination by the address detection section 35 and controls the intermittent reception according to the discrimination result.
