Abstract:
PURPOSE:To contrive to improve performance and efficiency by uniformly mixing particles of functional material and those of brazing filler metal and by placing this mixture on a sheet made of the functional material and thereafter pressing and heating the mixture to bond the functional material particles to the sheet. CONSTITUTION:There are prepared particles of functional material, e.g. InP particles 1 and particles 2 of brazing filler metal or naphthalene having a particle size almost equal to that of the InP particles. Then, these particles 1, 2 are suitably mixed so as to be made uniform and this mixed powder 3 is placed closely on InP sheet 5 by a suitable scattering means 4. In this case, the mixture is arranged as a single particle layer and the superfluous mixed powder 3 is swept down. This sheet 5 is set in a hot press 6 to be pressed and heated. Thus, the brazing filler metal particles 2 out of the mixed powder 3 disappear and only the InP particles are bonded onto the sheet 5 so that a desired powder sheet 7 is formed. In this manner, it is possible to contrive to improve performance and efficiency.
