PURPOSE: To quickly obtain an important document image in preference to other document images by registering previously an optional opposite party as a preferential opposite party and then outputting the image received from the preferential opposite party in preference to other images when the stored images are outputted.

CONSTITUTION: An operator sets a facsimile equipment in a prescribed register mode (101) and then inputs the transmitter identification information on the desired opposite party to be registered (102). The facsimile equipment stores the received identification information (103). This identification information identical with the information that is received from the opposite party in the transmission control of the facsimile communication and then transmitted by a TSI signal or an NSS signal. In such a way, the opposite party to which the important document images are sent is registered as a preferential opposite party. Then the images received from the preferential opposite party are recorded and outputted in preference to other images when the stored images are recorded and inputted. As a result, the important document images can be quickly recorded and outputted.
