PURPOSE: To obtain a solid detergent composition which is very lowly irritating and has excellent properties as a solid substance by mixing a specified phosphoric ester with a specified isethionic acid surfactant and phosphoric acid in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The detergent composition is prepared by mixing a phosphoric ester (A) of formula I (wherein R1 is a 12-22C hydrocarbon group; X and Y are each H, an alkali metal, ammonium or an alkanolamine having a 2 or 3C hydroxyalkyl group; and (n) is 0-10) or its salt (A) with an isethionic acid surfactant (B) of formula II (wherein R2 is a 9-17C hydrocarbon group; Z is H, an alkali metal, ammonium or an alkanolamine having a 2 or 3C hydroxyalkyl group) and phosphoric acid (C). The mixing ratio is such that 10-50wt.% component A, 10-50wt.% component B and 0.01-10wt.% component C are used. Component A may include a dialkylphosphoric ester surfactant of formula III.
