PURPOSE: To obtain a solid powder cosmetic having excellent appearance, extensibility, adhesion and touch free from coagulation of elastic powder, comprising mixed powder prepared by mutually uniformly dispersing and mixing elastic powder and different powder.

CONSTITUTION: Elastic powder is premixed with at least one different powder while stirring, then treated by a closed multi-stage shear extruder to give mixed powder, which is subjected to a conventional production process to give a solid powder cosmetic. Silicone rubber, fluorosilicon rubber, etc., having 0.1-100μm average particle diameter is used as the elastic powder. Talc, mica, sericite, kaolin, etc., may be cited as the different powder. The blending ratio of the elastic powder and the powder to be sheared and mixed is preferably 10:90-70:30 by weight. This cosmetic has uniform appearance, excellent slip and adhesion and a smooth feeling in use.
