PURPOSE: To obtain a manufacturing method for an electrically-insulated heat pipe, by which the electrically-insulated heat pipe with a good performance can be produced without thermal deformation of the heat pipe or a base plate.
CONSTITUTION: Copper plating layer is formed on the outer surface of a joint (a main body 16a and a flange 16b) of an electrically-insulated coupling 15, and the joint is immersed in a molten solder for aluminum members. Then, supersonic vibrations are applied to the molten solder through an adequate phone to firmly attach solder plating layer 24 out the outer surface of the joint via an alloy layer 23. After that, the solder plating layers 24 of the joint and a heat pipe 13 are put together and both solder plating layers 24 are melted to solder them together.
