PURPOSE: To provide the integrally molded surface fastener which has resilience similar to the resilience of a surface fastener of a woven type, ensures a high engaging rate and has a base material provided with sufficient repetitive strength and durability.
CONSTITUTION: This surface fastener is produced by integrally molding many hook pieces having rising parts 21 provided with front surfaces 24 rising from a flat planar base material, rear surfaces 23 likewise rising obliquely on smooth curves from the base material 1 and reinforcing ribs 2a on at least one flanks and hook-like engaging parts 22 extending forward from the front ends of these rising parts on the surface of the planar base material 1. The flat planar base material 1 is biaxially stretched after molding, by which the base material 1 is thinly and strongly formed and simultaneously, the strength in nearly the entire direction of the base material 1 is increased.
