PURPOSE: To provide a distribution type fuel injection pump capable of insuring feed pressure necessary in an extremely low rotating speed territory of an engine, and dissolve advance shortage of fuel injection timing in an extremely low rotating speed territory such as engine start beginning time.

CONSTITUTION: When a piston 83 is contacted with a piston valve 85, because the gap between the piston 83 and the projecting part 85c of the piston valve 85 is 40-60μm, in the extremely low rotating speed territory where the piston 83 is contacted with the piston valve 85, the inflow quantity of fuel flowing in a rotor rear end chamber 88 is reduced so as to insure necessary feed pressure, and compensate the timer advance shortage of a timer part.
