Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure suitable for reinforcing with corners of an object to be packed as a center and a reinforcing member thereof.
SOLUTION: A reinforcing member for packing comprises a cylindrical body mainly made of paper and having a polygonal shape viewed from a lateral cross section, while at least one cut opening 7 is formed over all side faces 4, 5, 6 but one side face 3 along its outer side periphery. The side face 3 is folded to bring opposite notch edges 8, 9 of the opening 7 to face each other. With such a constitution, when the member is not used for reinforcing a corner of a packing box or before shipment, the above folding is not performed, so that the member is less bulky as a straight polygonal cylinder. When it is used for reinforcing the corner of the box or at the time of shipment, the member is folded to close the opening 7 thereby easily making a shape along the corner of the box.
