PURPOSE: To lessen the deterioration in the photographic characteristics of the photosensitive material when housed in a hermetic container of a small inside volume by specifying the moisture content of a base and the inside volume of the hermetic container.

CONSTITUTION: The moisture content of the base is 0.3 to 1.5wt.% and the inside volume of the hermetic container is ≤0.08xcm2 when the surface area of one surface of the photosensitive material is designated as xcm2. The transparent base made of a synthetic resin is used for the photosensitive material to be built into the package. For example, a cellulose triacetate film, polyester film, etc., are usable. The polyester film is more partidcularly preferable. Thus, the deterioration in the photographic characteristics, more particularly green preservable property of the photosensitive material is prevented.
