To provide a packaging apparatus for an indoor unit which packaging apparatus facilitates attachment and detachment of a panel for a heat exchanger.

The packaging apparatus is for the indoor unit having a casing on a side face of which the surface of the fin-and-tube type heat exchanger is exposed. The packaging apparatus is provided with a corrugated cardboard covering the surface of the heat exchanger. The corrugated cardboard is fixed to the casing by inserting the lower end of the cardboard in between the lower frame of the casing and the heat exchanger surface and inserting the upper end of the cardboard in between the upper frame of the casing and the heat exchanger surface. Handles bent to this side are formed on both sides of the corrugated cardboard.
