To improve a packaging apparatus which packages a plate-form article having a thickness such as a book or a magazine.

This packaging apparatus has an air blowing head section, a supporting rod, an urging means, a bag holding pin, and a receiving base section. The air blowing head section includes a blow-out port the bottom surface of which is opened to be wide in the lateral width direction. The supporting rod is fixed to the air blowing head section and holds the air blowing head section. The urging means urges the air blowing head section in the approaching direction of the machine main body. The bag holding pin is fixed to the air blowing head section, and suspends a packaging bag. The receiving base section is fixed to the front surface of the machine main body, and pinches the tongue piece section of the packaging bag which is suspended by the bag holding pin with the air blowing head section in a manner to be wide in the lateral width direction.
