Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus whose required space is small and which can perform both banding and packaging of stacked articles.
SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus includes a conveyer 10 for carrying an assembly of articles comprising a plurality of press-through-packages(PTP) stacked and a pillow-packaging apparatus 12 placed on a downstream of the conveyer. The pillow-packaging apparatus has a packaging function for pillow- packaging assemblies of the articles sequentially supplied from the conveyer and a carrying function for enabling the assemblies fed to the pillow-packaging apparatus with a rotation of an end sealer stopped to be carried. The apparatus further comprises a bypass conveyer 20 for returning the assemblies of the articles carried on the conveyer again onto a carrying means after they are once carried outside, while a banding machine 21 for banding the assemblies for integration is provided in the middle of the bypass conveyer.
