To provide a packaging item which improves the protection performance of a synthetic resin sheet without an increase in packaging cost, increases capacity efficiency in storage, and, further, prevents a load shift and product quality deterioration.

The packaging body comprises a flat substrate 1, side-wall portions 2 erected from a pair of opposite sides of the substrate, and flaps 3 which are contiguous with the upper ends of the corresponding side-wall portions 2. A sheet 4 is placed on the substrate 1, as a packaging member in which the remaining two sides of the substrate 1 have no side-wall portions. Side-end plates 5, each having a length which is almost equal to the width of the sheet 4 and a height which is almost equal to that of each side-wall portion 2, are firmly attached to both the sides of the substrate 1 which have no side-wall portions, in such a way as to be close to the sides of the sheet 4. Rodlike bodies 6, each having a length extending over the end face of each side-end plate 5 and each side of the sheet 4 and a height which is almost equal to that of each side-wall portion 2, are fitted in both ends of spaces left between the side-wall portions 2 and the end faces of the side-end plates 5 and the sides of the sheet 4 and they are firmly attached. Over them both the flaps 2 are placed without overlapping each other.
