To provide a packaging container whose lid is easy to unseal so that a neat unsealed portion can be obtained.

The packaging container comprises a container body including a flange along an entire periphery of a rectangular opening and a paper lid including a tab protruding on a side except corners, which are heat-bonded at the flange. A notch is provided at both rising parts of the tab of the paper lid. Tab cutting means parallel to each other which extend from a tip of the notch toward the rectangular opening are provided. Approximately chevron- shaped cutting means for starting to open are provided from a tip of the tab cutting means so that they come farther from each other to the rectangular opening. A rear half cut line for the opening and a front half cut line for the opening which extends toward the periphery of the rectangular opening from the rear half cut line are provided so that they make approximately a round from one of tips to the other of the cutting means for starting to open.
