PURPOSE: To enable easy opening with a method as quiet and careful as possible to leave no reminder of packing material by letting a weakened line have weak points of variable material strength.
CONSTITUTION: A packaging material 21 has a weakened line 23, which consists of a plurality of equally spaced weak points 25 and 27 alternately and sequentially disposed by web 29. Weak points 25 are designed differently from those 27 and the former extend longer than the latter, but the both are made similar in the width. If necessary, however, widths of more than one weak points are variably chosen, too. The weakened line 23 becomes strong against bending stress crossing longitudinal direction of the line 23 by web 29 between weak points 25 and 27. At the same time, weak points 25 that do not cut through the packaging material 21 but just embossed assure article packaging to be airtight and hygienically satisfied until the weakened line 23 is very quietly broken for the purpose of opening a pack composed of the packaging material 21.
