Abstract:

To provide a packaging material for keeping freshness of cherry tomatoes, excellent in appearance/freshness-keeping effects.

This packaging material for keeping the freshness of the cherry tomatoes is used in packaging for sealing the cherry tomatoes with a nylon single-layer film, a multilayer film composed of nylon and polyethylene, a multilayer film composed of nylon and ehtylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, a multilayer film composed of nylon and mixed resin comprising polyethylene and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or a multilayer film composed of nylon and ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer of which the each has a water-vapor transmission of 30-180 g/m2.24 hr.atm (at 40°C.90%RH), wherein the oxygen concentration inside the package reaches 2-15% as a result of breathing of the cherry tomatoes themselves, and a weight loss of the whole package is less than 1% per day.
