To provide a packaging material for a photographic sensitive material which has preferable moisture-proof property, oxygen barrier property, physical strength, photographic property, appearance and adaptability for bag making, which clears the container packaging recycling law enforced from April in 2000, which can maintain ultrahigh sealing property for a long time without using metal foils such as an aluminum foil.
The packaging material has two or more layers of thermoplastic resin film layers subjected to vapor deposition layer process each of which is prepared by forming a 50 to 5000 -thick vapor deposition layer consisting of one or more kinds of metals, metal oxides and organic compounds on a thermoplastic resin film layer with a high Young's modulus having ≥50 kg/mm2 Young's modulus in the longitudinal direction, 5 to 70 μm thickness and ≥120°C melting point. The packaging material has a thermoplastic resin film layer having ≥120°C melting point as the outermost layer and has a heat seal layer essentially comprising a polyolefin resin and containing an ethylene copolymer resin by ≥5 mass% as the innermost layer. The material has ≤0.3 g/m2.day moisture permeability and ≤5 cc/m2.day oxygen permeability.
