To provide a packaging material for shavings of dried bonito having excellent various properties such as a heat resistance, a pressure resistance, a water resistance, a heat sealability, a pinhole resistance, a piercing resistance, other properties and the like, particularly having excellent barrier properties of preventing a transmission of an oxygen gas, a steam or the like, transparency and the like, excellent filling and packaging suitability of its content, quality preservation or the like and useful for filling and packaging the shavings of the dried bonito or the like and to provide a dried bonito shaving package using the same.

The packaging material for the shavings of dried bonito comprises at least an inorganic oxide, gas barrier coating film formed by a chemical vapor growing method and a heat sealable resin layer, sequentially provided on one surface of a base film. The dried bonito shaving package uses the same.
