To facilitate packaging work of a compact disc for mailing and distribution and reduce postage by containing a compact disc in a packaging film together with a mount having the substantially the same width as that of the compact disc, folding back both side portions of the packaging film, and welding and cutting both ends of the packaging film.

A compact disc 2 and a mount 3 whose one side has the substantially same width as that of the compact disc 2 are set on a packaging film 1. Then, portions of the packaging film 1, which are extruded outward from the mount 3, are folded back onto the mount 3, and overlapping welding portions 4 of both ends of the folded-back packaging film 1 are welded to each other by a heater roll. Further, by allowing a feed roller to pass after welding, the rising welded portion 4 is made flat while discharging unnecessary air in a package and, simultaneously, welding portions 5, 6 at both side ends are welded by a heater to seal the package. At a final step, the packaging film 1 is cut in a predetermined length by a cutter, and the compact disc 2 is contained in the packaging film 1.
