PURPOSE: To obtain an automatic folding/sealing machine for folding and sealing the upper surface opening portion of an upper surface opening rice ball package supplied by an automatic supplying machine.
CONSTITUTION: In an opening portion folding device for folding an upper opening portion in the stop position of a frame 1, wherein fitting frames 12 of rice ball packages 6 provided with the upper surface opening portion formed by high and low step edges are provided on a no-end intermittent rotational chain 15 whose upper transferring portion is moved forward at a fixed distance, a low step edge folding plate 2 is provided on the machine frame 1 so as to be reciprocated, and a right and left edges folding plate which approaches and separates from the folding plate in the opposite direction is provided on an forward-moving part upper surface of the folding plate 2. Moreover a means 5 for slidably supporting a high step edge folding plate 4 forward after backward-moving of the low step edge folding plate 2 and the right and left both side edges folding plate, moreover a passing part 8 of a label pressing roller 7 capable of being raised and lowered along the main body front surface of the package 6 in forward-sliding of the high step edge folding plate 4 is provided in the halfwary part of the high step edge folding plate 4.
