Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the return of the response packet of a reception terminal and to facilitate the detection of transmission completion by transmitting the broadcast packet of its own terminal transmission to its own terminal and detecting the transmission of the broadcast packet.
CONSTITUTION: The broadcasting terminal I67 of a node device I13 transmits the broadcast packet designated with eight use wavelengths. The packet is repeated by node device II14, III15 and IV16, and eight terminals connected to the device I13 receive it. At that time, all the terminals connected to the respective node devices reception-process the packet. The broadcast terminal I67 of the device I13 detects that the packet is transmitted from the self terminal, is repeated by the respective node devices and is returned from the broadcast terminal identification column of a reception packet, and the transmission of the broadcast packet is terminated. Thus, all the nodes have functions for receiving the whole wavelengths and for transmitting the reception packet at the desired wavelength. Thus, only one node is required which has to designate the wavelength for transmitting the packet.
