Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high packet reception ratio in an environment of a high density of vehicles without causing the broadcast storm while each vehicle transmits and relays a collision avoidance packet.
SOLUTION: A means 3 sets a specified number of relay points at the next transmission time point of own vehicle in a radio wave operating distance range, a means 4 calculates the position of another vehicle from directly received vehicle information of the other vehicle, a means 5 calculates the distance between the other vehicle's position and the relay point, and a saving table 6 saves vehicle addresses in the increasing order of the distance from each relay point up to a specified order. For transmitting packets of own vehicle information, the system lowers the order of one of vehicle addresses at first order on the table 6, if doubled, and transmits the vehicle address with packets. If the own vehicle address is contained in received packets and the number of relays is less than a limit, a means 13 immediately makes a relay process of the packets.
