Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet monitor system that can prevent an unreasonable service charge caused by mechanical count of an information amount attended with a meter rate charging or a communication charge from being imposed and to provide a packet monitor method and a recording medium with its recorded program.
SOLUTION: When a service user logs in, a user management table having a monitor parameter for a component is retrieved to acquire a monitor parameter corresponding to the service use, the arrival time of a packet coincident with the monitor parameter is always monitored, and when an optional relation holds in the arrival intervals, it is discriminated that a packet not intended by the user or a packet sent intentionally by the user is in existence on a communication path and the system informs/warns the service user about it.
