Title:
PACKET TRANSMISSION TERMINAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005086438
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a packet transmission terminal for effectively using a time zone without affecting transmission time of a packet with high priority when the packet of higher priority is preferentially transmitted within a range of the prescribed time zone.

First to eighth queues 4031 to 4038 for deciding priority to take out the packet are installed in a user-side communication terminal 303. A packet distributing part 401 stores the packet in the corresponding queue. A packet length detector 404 detects packet length of the packet in the head of each queue. A scheduling part 405 sequentially discriminates which packet can be transmitted in a remaining time zone of a transmission permission time zone from the queue of highest priority based on a result and gives an instruction to take out the packet that is discriminated to be transmitted at first. The processing is repeated. A packet transmitter 402 takes out the packet in accordance with the instruction. The packets are connected and are transmitted to a transmission path.
