Packing cushioning bodies 3 to 6 formed using a mold from a pulp-containing material by pulp mold shaping which are placed by a plurality of pieces around a packed object 1 in a packing box 2 for relaxing external impact applied to the object 1 for protection are formed in a shape that a mold removing direction at the time of shaping aligns with a horizontal direction during use, and since the mold removing direction at the time of shaping aligns with the horizontal direction in the packing box 2, the cushioning bodies 3 to 6 can be placed for easily absorbing impact applied from upper and lower directions. Therefore, the impact can be effectively absorbed and the packed object 1 can be protected against damage and failure.
