PURPOSE: To enable packing slabs such as tiles nicely even when the size of the slab or the number of the slabs varies by cutting a packing material apart at each of two lines of incisions which are outside the mount area and substantially perpendicular to a side of the periphery of the mount area.

CONSTITUTION: A piece of packing material 1 is rectangular in plane figure and of a size that enables it to bear the bottom of a square tile T (product) and cover the top side and lateral sides of a pile of tiles T entirely. This piece of packing material 1 has three bending lines of perforations 2a-2c which are perpendicular to the longitudinal sides and positioned to the right rather than otherwise, as seen with respect to the longitudinal sides, and three bending lines of perforations 3a-3c likewise to the left rather than otherwise. The parts intervening between the groups of bending lines 2a-2c, 3a-3c make mount areas. In the bordering parts, using the mount areas of the longer sides and shorter sides as a reference there are provided respectively pieces which are to be cut off along perforations 5c-10c, 5d-10d so as to form band-stretching grooves.
