Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing member that can be used as an assembly auxiliary tool when assembling a pipe cover.SOLUTION: A slit pad 41 as an impact absorption material is stored in a packing body together with a component of a pipe cover 10 of a water heater. The pipe cover 10 is U-shaped in a planar view, and its components are external walls 11 and 12, various kinds of angle members 15-17, a front wall, etc. When performing assembly work of the pipe cover 10, a worker folds the slit pad 41 in a mountain shape and assembles an assembling auxiliary tool. The slit pad 41 is provided with slits 52 and 53 where the external walls 11 and 12 are inserted and held. The separation width of the slits 52 and 53 is the same as the separation width of the external walls 11 and 12 of the pipe cover 10 as a finished product. Thereby, the worker can fix the various kinds of angle members 15-17 directly to the external walls 11 and 12 supported by the slit pad 41.
