The packing pad is formed of a plurality of separated unit members 1 comprising a slender plate-like member 3 expanded orthogonal to a member 2 of square section and fitted thereto. After use of a steel sheet 5 for a metal product, the substantially bar-like unit members 1 are bundled in a compact mode. At the same time, the arrangement span of the plurality of unit members 1 is arbitrarily adjustable according to the packing dimension of the product so that the packing pad can be extensively recycled corresponding to different packing dimension.
