Abstract:

To provide a packing raw material comprising at least two band elements that is sufficiently large in tear strength even with no use of special reinforcements and is easy to work and manufacture.

A laminated band element with a maximum width of 5 mm comprises at least one flexible graphite film 1 with a maximum thickness of 1 mm and a bulk density from 0.7 to 1.8 g/cm3, and at least one metal film 3 with a thickness from 5 to 50 μm and a minimum tensile strength of 250 MPa. The graphite and metal films 1 and 3 are joined together by adhesives or by adhesive media in a form other than adhesives. The band elements are cut from a lamination, preferably continuously.
