Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent fitting defects of protectors to be fitted at both endfaces of a roll, by pulling both upward and downward the packing material projected from both endfaces of the roll having a hollow core and sealing with heat so as not to cross the upper part of the hollow core forming a roll.
CONSTITUTION: A roll 1 having a hollow core is wound up at the shell with a packing material 2 so as to project the end from the both end faces thereof and the superposed part is sealed with heat. The projected packing material 2 is pulled both upward and downward and sealed with heat laterally so as not to cross the hollow core of the roll 1. And the packing material 2 covering the hollow core of roll 1 is opened to provide a connection hole to the hollow core. Protectors 6 are fitted to both ends of roll 1. Finally, a band is applied so as to pass through the hollow core and the periperal face of the roller 1 longitudinally to fix the protectors 6. Accordingly, fitting defects of the protectors attached at both endfaces of roll 1 can be prevented and an effective packing can be obtained.
