Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing for use in connecting a first shell having a first through-hole of non-right circular shaped large diameter having a major axis and a minor axis that are oppositely faced against to each other with a second shell having a second through-hole of small diameter of non-right circular shaped small diameter to enable a relative positional displacement in a radial direction and a relative positional displacement in an axial direction to be absorbed and at the same time to keep a sealability even if an inner fluid pressure is high or even if a high fluid pressure is applied from outside.SOLUTION: A connecting part C between a first shell T1 and a second shell T2 has a shell part D in a first through-hole A. There are provided a first connecting body 1 including a metallic first core grid 11 and a rubber first coating body 4 that is fitted to an inner peripheral surface E of a wall forming the first through-hole A; a second connecting body 2 including a metallic second core grid 12 and a rubber second coating body 5 that is fitted to an outer peripheral surface G of the shell part D; and a rubber connecting body 3 connecting the connecting bodies 1, 2, integrally formed with the coating bodies 4, 5 and having a substantial U-shaped section cut at a plane including an axial direction and a radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
