PURPOSE: To effectively restrain grinding heat by forming air intake openings that are opened in a rotary direction, at the peripheral edge portion of the disklike base material of a pad for grinding material furnishing at whose center portion exhaust openings are provided, conducting connection through the exhaust openings and passages.
CONSTITUTION: A screw 2 is provided at the back surface center portion of a disklike base material 1, and connectability to the drive spindle of a grinder is realized. Exhaust openings 3 are penetratingly provided around the screw 2 of the base material 1, and a leather or surface fastener 7 is made to adhere to the base material 1 through an elastic material 4 having adequate cushion and thickness, and at the peripheral edge portion of the elastic material 4, plural air intake openings 5 to take in air are formed at proper intervals, and plural passages 6 whose each one end starts from each exhaust opening 3 and whose each other end is inclined toward a rotary direction R, are formed radially, and the air intake openings 5 are connected to the exhaust openings 3 through these passages 6. As a result, when a pad is rotated, the radiation of the pad is conducted by discharging air A that has flowed in from the air intake openings 5, from the center exhaust openings 3 through the passages 6.
