In the disc brake pad-holding member for holding the brake pad 17A to the mount member 12A, a 1st contact part P1 is provided in the base 21A to be brought into contact with a short-side outer peripheral wall 26, a 2nd contact part P2 is provided to an upper arm 22A to be brought into contact with a 1st long-side outer peripheral wall 28, and a 3rd contact part P3 is provided between the 1st and the 2nd contact parts P1, P2 respectively to be brought into contact with a side wall 16A of a holding chamber 16. With a press of the brake pad 17A against the 1st contact part P1 in the case of braking, the 2nd contact part P2 presses against the 1st long-side outer wall 28 with the 3rd contact part P3 as a fulcrum.
