Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to enable pad insertion even in a non-horizontal state as well as to achieve longevity and significantly reduce damage to the surface of an object to be bound. [Solution] This pad insertion device is for inserting a pad interposingly between a binding joint part and an object to be bound and is equipped with: a storage mechanism unit for storing multiple pads in a stacked manner and sending one of the stacked pads to a first handover position; an insertion mechanism unit which has a first suction-holding part for holding the pad positioned at the first handover position by means of suction and which is capable of moving from the first handover position to a second handover position for placing the pad on the object to be bound; and a holding mechanism unit for holding, until the binding joint part is formed by means of the object to be bound being bound with a binding band, the pad that was moved to the second handover position by the insertion mechanism unit.
