To provide a pad for pressing a waterproof sheet enabling the heat at the pressed portion of the waterproof sheet to be easily removed when the waterproof sheet is elastically pressed by the pad, requiring less labor for handing, and having a highly practical use.
In a method of adhering a waterproof sheet, the metal fixing plate 2 for fixing a waterproof sheet having an adhesive layer melted by heating on the upper surface is affixed onto a waterproof backing material 3, and the waterproof sheet 4 is disposed on the fixing plate 2. The adhesive layer is melted by heating the fixing plate by electromagnetic induction heating to adhere the waterproof sheet 4 to the fixing plate 2. The pad for pressing the waterproof sheet used to increase the adhesion of the waterproof sheet to the fixing plate 2 by elastically pressing the waterproof sheet 4 at the position to be adhered includes a silicone rubber elastic mat part 6 having a contact surface 6a abutting on the waterproof sheet 4. A pressing plate 7 is integrally provided to the surface of the elastic mat part 6 opposite to the contact surface 6a in such a manner a pressing force can act thereon over the entire or approximately entire area.
