Abstract:

To provide a paddy field restoration method for restoring a paddy field affected by a tsunami to the paddy field capable of cultivating rice.

A paddy field restoration method to restore a paddy field affected by a tsunami comprises: an excavation process to excavate paddy soil 5 with foreign objects mixed therein due to damage by the tsunami; a cleaning process to clean the excavated paddy soil 5 with cleaning water; a fine debris removal process to remove fine debris, which is the foreign object, from slurry of the paddy soil 5 produced in the cleaning process; a sand component removal process to remove sand, which is also the foreign object, from the slurry which undergoes the fine debris removal process; and a fine grain fraction recovery process to recover a fine grain fraction included in the slurry by flocculating the same through addition of a flocculation agent 50 having mineral as a main component to the slurry which undergoes the sand component removal process. The paddy field restoration method recovers the fine grain fraction as the fine grain fraction with diameters available for the paddy field and returns the recovered fine grain fraction to the paddy field.
