PURPOSE: To allow a bankbook to be scarcely affected by the influence of the irregularity of the frictional coefficient of the bankbook by providing a low frictional part at the position of a rotor having a high frictional part to be separated by an arbitrary phase in friction separating means.
CONSTITUTION: The page changing apparatus comprises a page change roller 6 having a high frictional part 6a for changing the page of a book or the like and a hollow structure 6f for deviating the page to be intended to be turned over from next page, a conveying drive roller 4, a paper pan 1 of a first guide for shifting the book or the like, and a protrusion 1a for giving a deformation so that the initial shape of the page to be turned over becomes the primary mode of buckling. A paper guide 2 and a shutter 5 have a part parallel to the pan 1 and a part having a step for preventing a conveying jam. A conveying passage 5a is formed lower than the height of the guide 2, the insertion of the conveyed bankbook between the guide 2 and the conveying passage forming surface 5a is eliminated to prevent the jam.
