To provide a page holder with which pages are surely held in one hand and with which the pages can be turned over with the one hand.

The page holder 1 includes: a holding means 20 which has a square frame composed of a push bar 21, a spindle bar 22, and connecting bars 23, 24 and which holds with the push bar 21 the pages of a book 30 opened by the left hand A; and a book-cover type latching means 10 which has bearings 12, 13 for freely pivotally supporting the spindle bar 22 on a spine patch 11a to be applied to the spine 32 of the book 30 and which latches the bearings 12, 13 to the position oppositely facing the spine 32 of the book 30 while protecting the book. The holding means 20 is turned right with the left hand A, with the left pages 33 of the book 30 passed through the frame of the holding means 20, with the push bar 21 moved from the left to the right, and with the right pages 34 held down from the top 36 to the bottom 37 with the push bar 21. Then, the holding means 20 is reversely turned left, with the left pages 33 again passed through the frame, with the push bar 21 moved from the right to the left, and with the page holder by means of the push bar 21 released, in the structure of the page holder.
