The page holding fixture 100 for holding a book in an opened state is characterized in that it includes a belt like support 110 having a flexibility with at least an intermediate part 120 freely bendable inward, and a belt like light transmitting band 170 spread between a pair of side parts 130, 140 which are arranged on both left and right sides of the intermediate part 120 of the support 110. The tension of the light transmitting band 170 is relaxed by bending the support 110 to the light transmitting band side, and hence, through the adjustment of the bending mode of the support 110, pages are surely held or easily turned.
