Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a page turning device for book original with which pages can be surely turned over even when an electric field formed at a dielectric belt is attenuated in the middle of a page turning operation and page turning property is improved so as not to damage any page at the time of page ejection.
CONSTITUTION: The upper-most surface of a book original BO is touched from the upside by a turning belt 208, this page is adsorbed and separated by its lower face, the original page conveyed in an upstream direction in the state of being adsorbed to the lower face is held by page guides 227 and 228 arranged upside rather than the original face of the book original BO, and the original page is surely conveyed in a page turning direction by a page feeding roller 250 to be rotated with this original page inserted is contact to the lower face of the turning belt 208. The rotating speed of the page feeding roller 250 is set higher than the conveying speed of the book original page due to the turning belt 208. When ejecting the book original page, the page feeding roller 250 is separated from the lower face of the turning belt 208 and turned to a non- driving state.
