Abstract:
To provide a page turning mechanism which prevents redundant page feeding and a feeding failure.
The page turning mechanism detects the state of a page 90a evaginated upward between a pressing member 2 and a rotating roller 10. When the page 90a overlaps the other page, the pressing member 2 is positioned closer to the roller 10, or when the page 90a is flat and is not evaginated upward, the pressing member 2 is positioned away from the roller 10, so that the page is evaginated upward again between the pressing member 2 and the rotating roller 10 to surely separate the uppermost page 90a and the succeeding page 90a, and thereafter allowing a page turning shaft 15 to turn the uppermost page 90a.
