Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide page turning method and device for a book original, which can stably execute the repeating of the page turning scan of the book original and have a wide tolerance level by using a fixed belt for separating the book original, and attracting a page to the belt for separating.
CONSTITUTION: A nonuniform electric field is applied to a turning/carrying belt 8 by a first bias roller 3. a page turning/reading unit is moved from one end side of a spread book original 92 from the other end side, and the shape of the turning/carrying belt 8 is sequentially deformed, so that the page attracted to the carrying belt 8 in the nonuniform electric field is separated from the next page of the book original 92.
