To enhance reliability by scarce influence of unevenness of rigidity, frictional coefficient of a sheet of a book or the like by projecting a pushing lever from a conveying surface to an upside at the time of page turning-over, and giving a slack to the page desired to be turned over.
A drive roller is driven by a motor, a bankbook 13 in a conveying passage is conveyed, and stopped at a predetermined position. Then, a shaft is rotated in a direction B by the motor so that a high frictional part 2a of a page turning-over roller is collided in contact with a page 13a of an uppermost surface of the bankbook 13. A cam shaft 11 is followed to be rotated in a direction C via a shaft and gear 4 in parallel with its operation, thereby lifting a pushing lever 3 in a direction D. At this time, the lever 3 is projected from a conveying passage surface to give a slack to the bankbook 13, and the attitude is held. Further, when rotation of the roller 2 is advanced, the page 13a starts to be deformed to start to be turned-over.
