Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint coating apparatus capable of properly matching with an increase in coating speed.
SOLUTION: In the coating apparatus for coating a support 1 running in one direction by a drive means with paint by bringing a rotating gravure roll 3 into contact with the support 1, the drive means has two guide rolls 2 for supporting the support 1 in an almost vertical posture. The gravure roll 3 is arranged so as to be almost brought into line contact with the support 1 supported in the almost vertical posture by two guide rolls 2 and rotated so that the outer peripheral part thereof moves downward at the contact position with the support 1.
